Big Bang Business "If
you take time to examine the true Big Bang Theory step by step, including the leaps of faith, broad assumptions, gaps
and holes, and contradictions, you may wonder why anyone would believe in such a thing. Even world leading experts
on the nature of light and radiation say that there is no real evidence or experimental data showing that distant objects
are moving away from us the faster the farther away they are...it's a modern myth. The "fact" that "background
microwave radiation" can be detected means that it is part of a big bang origin of the universe is another modern myth
as well. The arguments and supports for such a genesis theory are very similiar to arguments in favor of gods and "intelligent
design" (as if we can call ourselves intelligent given what we are doing to destroy ourselves). The fact that in the year 2009 people
are still talking seriously about such things points to a great lack in creative ability of humankind in general, and
the great need for evolution, revolution, and transformation in the area of cosmology in general". _________________________________________
One of the world's leading experts on the nature of light* told me in personal conversation that the
interpretation of distant redshifting of light as being related to velocity has no scientific basis and that there is no type
of experiment to prove such an idea. There are powers beyond logic and scientific process making the acceptance
of such "proofs" popular today. It's a part of a business like structure of a Big Bang enterprise with
no actual basis in fact. *His name is not mentioned here as this was a private talk between
a scientist and his Chauffeur (me). _______________________________________________________________________________ "Some people insist that The Big Bang Theory is much more than a myth or belief system but so many times
over the years, when giving a lecture or talking to people about post-big-bang thinking, I am confronted with questions such
as "But what else is there?" or "Do you have something better for me then?", etc., along with violent
emotional outbursts and indignation over my insults to their (belief systems) precious big bang, and these events have been
some of the most clear indications that what is going on is belief and faith over real solid science." _______________________________________________________________________________ "Actually, The Big Bang is a relatively tiny idea in cosmic terms.
There are much grander ideas to think about, with no mystical cosmic space/time seed required." ________________________________

"Anyone
still considering The Big Bang Theory as a viable model of the structure of the universe must not be paying attention."
____________________________ "I didn't realize I had so many doubts about that
(big bang)." - Anonymous
reader, 2007 ____________________________________________________________________ Have you heard? The Big Bang Theory is dead. By keywording in "Big Bang Wrong" this morning, I selected two of many
sites as examples:
You’d never know it from
official news releases, but the Big Bang is broken and can’t be fixed. Excerpt from www.thunderbolts.info A concession speech may be unlikely in 2005, but the progressive
decline of one of the twentieth century’s most popular theories now seems inescapable. The Big Bang has lost its theoretical
foundation, which was the Doppler interpretation of redshift (linking redshift to the stretching of light wavelengths as objects
move away from us). It is now known that, while almost all observed galaxies are redshifted, the Doppler interpretation of
this shift does not provide a reliable measure of velocity or (indirectly) of distance. Quasars and galaxies of different
redshift stand in physical proximity to each other and are observed to be connected by filaments of matter. Quasars, whose
high redshift would place them at the outer edges of the visible universe, are in fact physically and energetically linked
to nearby low-redshift active galaxies. The Big Bang was dismantled by direct observation—including a highly redshifted
quasar in front of a nearby galaxy! Excerpt from ourworld.compuserve.com Current expanding-universe
theory seems headed for oblivion, but the large number of professionals with vested interests in its preservation means that
its demise is likely to take a very long time. Even some mystically or theosophically minded writers have tended to jump on
the big bang bandwagon, believing that the theory is essentially correct, provided we recognize the workings of divine intelligence
going on behind the scenes. But even divine intelligence would not be able to save the big bang! ____________________________________________________________________________________________
The most interesting
facet of The Big Bang Theory is the phenomenon keeping it alive.
From the authors of the book about the latest new and improved version of the ever expanding theory, The Big
Bang, entitled "Endless Universe; Beyond the Big Bang", Paul J. Steinhardt and Neil Turok include
on their website this answer to the question of what lead them to this new version of the old theory - "We
were motivated by the fact that, over the last few decades, more and more elements have had to be added to the Big Bang Theory
to make it consistent with what we observe. To explain why the universe is so uniform, we had to add a new feature called
inflation. To explain the formation of structure, we had to add dark matter. The recent discovery that the expansion of the
universe has begun to speed up has required the addition of something called dark energy. Each of these elements have been
added one by one to make today’s Big Bang Theory a kind of patchwork of disconnected ideas. Furthermore, in the background,
there has been the disturbing notion that the big bang is the beginning of everything – something that has never been
successfully explained by fundamental physics."
______________________________________________ quote
from: http://www.epola.co.uk/epola_org/BIGBANG.HTML "EXPANDING UNIVERSE"-THE GREATEST MATHEMATICAL DECEPTION IN 20-TH CENTURY PHYSICS
Falsification of the Hubble-Humason Law. Unprejudiced (and honest) scientists, who observe redshift values that depend on distance, would consider factors
acting on light along this distance. These factors are absorption and gravitation. The redshifts they cause are roughly
proportional to the distance crossed by light, because the numbers of non-linear absorption events and of massive stars increase
with distance. Hence these two phenomena fit perfectly the Hubble-Humason Law. Unfortunately for Natural Physics, some
mathematicians in physics had long before decided that the universe is expanding, therefore celestial objects must run away from us. When they
found out about the Hubble-Humason Redshifts, they decided that those must be Doppler redshifts, to serve as the first and
only "experimental" proof of the expansion. That was Act
1, for internal use. In Act 2, for the public, students, and media, the argumentation
was turned around, to start with the barefaced lie, that "spectra of extragalaxial
nebulae show large Doppler (!) redshifts". Then, that "these redshifts prove (!) that the nebulae run
away from us", hence "the universe is expanding". However, Doppler redshifts and blueshifts are proportional to the velocity of the emitter relative to the
receiver of radiation. They have nothing to do with the
distance to the emitter. Hence, Doppler redshifts do not fit the physical Hubble-Humason law of the proportionality of nebular redshifts to distance. In Act
3, the law was therefore twisted (falsified!) to say that "the runaway velocities of extragalaxial nebulae are proportional to the distances to them". Thus, the farther a nebula the faster must the poor thing run away from us, just in order
to fit the ideology. Dismissal of the Big Bang Creation of Universes. The reason why there was and is such a strong
interest in the runaway misinterpretation of the Hubble-Humason redshifts is that this turns the redshift into the only available
quasi-"experimental proof" that the universe is expanding. It provides the main support for the Big Bang theories
of an ever-exploding universe. These theories enable people with mathematical skills and artistic disregard of reality,
to compile picturesque, photogenic (and TV-genic) processes, and be pronounced "Maker of Universes" (Einstein, 1937),
"Wizard of Time and Space", "Master of the Universe" (Hawking, 1990), etc. The development of the
Big Bang theory is based, in addition to the twisted Hubble-Humason law and the several "background" and "leftover"
misinterpretations of the 3K radiation, on two postulates of relativity. First, that the speed of light in space is
the same in the whole universe. Second, that the laws and postulates, established in our backyard, are equally valid
in the whole universe. But what is valid here is not necessarily right at distances trillions of light
years away! The vacuum light velocity c is the velocity of bulk deformation waves in the epola.
It therefore depends on local conditions in the epola space, as the velocity of sound depends on conditions in solid lattices.
These are the lattice temperature, the concentration and distribution of foreign particles, lattice faults, etc. The
vacuum light velocity c is certainly a very important constant in our epola region, and as far out as the
mentioned conditions remain stable, but not in the whole universe. Dismissal of the runaway interpretation of the Hubble-Humason
redshifts, the reversal of the 3K "background" radiation into the thermal radiation of the epola around us, and
the disproval of the universal constancy of light velocity reveal that Big Bang theories are pseudo-science fictions. ______________________________________________ The Big Tweak Theory...
"The Big Bang Theory may be the most "tweaked" theory in the history of science, and the additional fudge
factors become more outrageous, unscientific, and even metaphysical as it goes along. Problems with the theory are filled
in with ideas that have no real scientific proof and require no connection with reality at all. The back-story as to
why this is being done, and why so many people cling to and support this myth so strongly is complex and much a
matter of who one speaks with or which field is examined. The bottom line though is that in modern times the most popular
view of the universe is not unlike views of the ancient Greeks or Romans. We live in times not so unlike
those of Mount Olympus and Zues with his lightning bolts, in that many people simply believe in the divine origin of the human
being as central in the universe. The passion to make of the universe a divine and magical thing is overwhelming
for many. Even people who swear, and may actually believe, that they are not influenced by their philosophy or religion
are secretly swayed, perhaps in a way that is secret even from themselves. Having a way to know the origin of everything
is a powerful force, even if it is all make believe in reality. My opinion is, of course, in the extreme
minority on this, as it was for those in ancient times who did not prescribe to the popular belief systems of the era.
It seems to me though that more and more people who participate in these systems are able to see through them yet choose
to go along for the many many benefits, privileges, and positive reasons associated with being inside the popular
way of life, or to avoid the many subtle and gross punishments outsiders are made to suffer, which luckily are must lesser
in degree today due to laws and social distaste for burning people at the stake in modern times. Unless major changes are made to the political landscape in the coming year or two, the next "tweak"
to The New Big Bang Theory may be the final icing on the mythological cake...a divine source. This sounds like something
out of science fiction, or conspiracy theory magazine, but it is simply a fact of "modern" times in the West.
It is popular to believe that the universe sprang from a magical blink of an eye, as did humans and Earth, with
no ecological or evolutionary principles needed. Things mystical can become real science in the blink of an eye."
pseudo-science fiction.
Excerpted from: cosmologystatement.org (Published in New Scientist, May 22-28 issue, 2004, p. 20) signed by an
increasing number of science professionals. …“Whereas Richard Feynman could say that "science is the culture
of doubt," in cosmology today doubt and dissent are not tolerated, and young scientists learn to remain silent if they
have something negative to say about the standard big bang model. Those who doubt the big bang fear that saying so will cost
them their funding.
Even observations are now interpreted
through this biased filter, judged right or wrong depending on whether or not they support the big bang. So discordant data
on red shifts, lithium and helium abundances, and galaxy distribution, among other topics, are ignored or ridiculed.
This reflects a growing dogmatic mindset that is alien to the spirit of free scientific enquiry. Today, virtually all financial and experimental resources in cosmology are devoted to big bang studies.
Funding comes from only a few sources, and all the peer-review committees that control them are dominated by supporters of
the big bang. As a result, the dominance of the big bang within the field has become self-sustaining, irrespective of the
scientific validity of the theory.”… - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - From a newspaper article, August 11, 2007, excerpted from a conversation
with Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton while touring the construction site of the new Academy of Sciences in Golden Gate Park,
San Francisco, California: "Scientists have been muzzled,
information has been taken off of government-sponsored Web sites, the leaders of our country have dissmissed scientific research
and advancements. There has been a concerted effort against stem cell research, a campaign against evolution.
I mean, it has been relentless. It's important to have institutions like this, with such a distinguished
history, that can perpetuate curiosity and intellectual inquiry. But it would help to have a president who actually
supported science again."
________________________________________________________
Did you know that The Big Bang Theory, out of necessity to make it viable as an
idea, calls for everything to have moved faster than light at first even though there is no reason to think that
this is possible other than to explain the theory, that gravity is a separate element like Helium or Hydrogen though there
is no evidence anywhere of this, that space expands and can move billions of gallaxies without having any effect upon their
shape or revolutions, that microwaves are the leftover signature of an exploding cosmic seed atom, and so forth as
needed to support the mythology in whatever way is needed? What's wrong with this picture? Is this
science or Creation? ________________________________________________________ Television Cosmology.... Due to the process by which
ideas are approved and accepted in the scientific community, content in the very latest television programing, such as the
PBS series "The Universe", may be up to 30 years behind the times in terms of what is actually true about the cosmos.
Programs such as that one become part of modern mythology rather than news bulletins about the latest and most creative ideas
in cosmology. They become tools for furthering popular views that actually have no basis within reality whatsoever,
as bizarre as this seems, and much of the information presented relates only to what certain people wish to be true and believe
to be the case. Just as one should not believe everything printed in the newspaper, the same goes for television programs,
even ones produced this year. Consumer beware. ________________________________________________________ Beyond the big bang myth... (2005) The overwhelming evidence, incontrovertible facts, and clear proof that the world was flat were even more widely
accepted than today's theory of a big bang origin of the universe, yet over time, and given new ways of seeing, this idea
was eventually replaced. The new awakening potential of human intelligence includes the ability to advance these
ways of seeing, thinking, and believing ahead of the normally slow and painstaking process of transformation of major paradigm
and popular thought leaving behind current popular myth. The urgency of awakening this new ability lies in the
fact that current modern popular notions of life and the universe do not place humankind within the ecological systems and
natural environmental evolutionary process from which we come, but rather give a supernatural or extraterrestrial origin for
the Human being (and the universe) allowing us to destroy that from which we come and cannot live without. So
long as humankind can evolve into a distant future, new ideas will eventually replace the current ones, but since the natural
world is being destroyed daily there is not the time or luxury to wait for the slow and time consuming process to take place
on it's own. We need to wake up in a major way right now in order to save what little is left of the natural world
for future generations to have a chance to believe anything at all. Thanks to the power of the Internet and the global
transfer of thought and information, we are awakening to this new potential everyday just as the environment is crumbling
around us. This is a race against time, and we simply must wake up and move ahead. Is our quest to
fill in the mystery of life and the universe with so called facts more important than the future of all life on the planet?
What do you believe? _______________________________________________ Grand Unified Theory of Everything?... (2007)
Thinking of everything, all of time and space and matter, as one single unified thing is a very strange concept and perhaps
even quite irrelevant on a day-to-day basis as one navigates through a typical day of life on Earth. Everything in the
Universe may be physical, or in existence through its relationship to the physical, but we do not usually consider the space
around our bodies as having physical form, for example, as though we are swimming through the air as we walk, and when we
turn on a light we usually do not imagine all the billions of photons flying about. Usually we consider there to be
something or nothing and make distinctions between physical things as we negotiate through the physical world in time.
Thinking of “time” as a physical thing is also not a typical common sense notion, though time is a term referring
to the physical motions or transformations of physical objects and things. If nothing is moving or changing at all anywhere,
where is the movement in time? In the realm of spirituality,
or human consciousness, where is the physical element? Often there is an underlying assumption that this is an area
separate and apart from the physical universe somehow, like we are not really a part of the grand unified theory of everything,
but above it observing and defining it. In every single case though, when I have heard definitions of spirit or soul
there is the physical element present in the words and concepts. Even for an individual soul to exist separate from
a physical body there has to be a material boundary or some way to identify it and for it to exist in the imagination of the
person describing it and there is dimension, location, and reality to it. In general, the reality behind this kind of
entity would require it to be deaf, dumb, blind, without senses of sight or sound or touch or smell, etc., and there would
be no mental function or dreams or thinking, and no ability to move about in space and time. In other words, it could
not exist in any physical way. Yet, in the world or religion and spiritual philosophy in general, the human soul is
described as having quite an active physical life and varied occupations requiring detailed material action, reaction, and
a distinct individual physical presence separate from all other souls. So, in other words, humans are considered apart
from The Universe. How then can there be a Grand Unified Theory of Everything then? Well, as usual with much of my writing, I’ve gotten a little lost here. What is the
point? The point is that humanity is really quite full of itself and above it all even considering the species as rising
above the entire Universe itself somehow, not to mention Earth. This attitude, set of beliefs and assumptions, and mythological
paradigm is what allows humankind to utterly despoil our natural environment and wage wars and generally behave quite insanely
while believing we are higher superior entities and above it all. What I am proposing
is that human beings are actually quite amazing and fantastic as physical creatures having evolved upon a beautiful blue planet,
and that imaginary realms of heavenly extraterrestrial origins need not apply. There is no shame in considering humanity
as having evolved along with and being a total part of this complex physical sensation known as The Universe. In any
Grand Unified Theory of Everything, the first thing that should be included is us. Who, after all, is doing the
thinking, figuring, and imagining anyway? It’s all a human thing. Grand ideas (2006)
"Ideas are very powerful in their influence over our lives", as Alan Watts once said. Ideas such as
Dark Matter, Missing Mass, The Big Bang Theory, and Super Strings, etc., all involve thoughts formulated into theories, equations,
search parameters, and basic ways of seeing the large scale universe and conducting science. When these kinds of focal
points are formed, there may be areas or directions that are naturally abandoned or left out in the process.
This phenomenon can lead to entire generations of work basically following a dead end path or running in circles. Seeking
answers to the dark matter / missing mass problem, for example, researchers may focus on “empty” areas of the
cosmos seeking a source of attraction factors when the answer they actually seek may lie at the (full areas) center of
bodies like Earth, the Sun, and The Milky Way Galaxy. All the work related to The Big Bang Theory, as another example,
may ignore the fact that it is not a very good idea in the first place and the greatest feature of the “the bang”
idea is it’s ability to spin wheels and get science nowhere (in no space and no time). Big ideas seem to form
vicious circles, or snow ball effects, and it may be an entire generation (or two or three) before people stand up and look
a different way. So many questions are open, from the nature of light to the source of gravity and so on and so forth,
yet it is the job of science to operate from some fundamental basics and “laws” and ideas, whether they are wrong
or not, and fundamental foundational beliefs are less often questioned in the process of science. In modern times though,
life on Earth cannot stand the impact of operating based upon erroneous laws, theories, or ideas that are related to
changing everything on Earth, including our own bodies. The big ideas must be questioned now, even if this is very
hard to do. Any "Grand Unified Theory of Everything" must include the process of thinking,
thought, belief, and the fallibility of the human mind. The source of the devastating problems all over the world lies within
this realm - the arena of big ideas. Is the universe really expanding in every direction away from
Earth faster and faster the farther one can see, or could distant red shifting mean that the light is older and slowed down the
farther it has come? Why do people believe expansion and despise the idea that light ages and changes over time and
"experience"? What do detected background microwaves mean? Are you sure? Was the entire universe
once crushed into one single place? Why do people believe in this idea so strongly and defend it so religiously? The emotions, passions, and dedication related to some ideas, such as Dark Energy and The Big Bang, etc.,
are as interesting as anything else about these notions. What makes ideas "near truths" is a part of human
nature, not a revelation of the reality of the natural world and universe. We make things up and create myth, theory,
laws, and models, and then we forget where they originated, or choose to define these ideas as factual when they are
in fact theory, and just big ideas. Take a look back for yourself to see where some of
the big ideas sprang from. Is this easy to do? Are there materials readily available that lay out the history
and formation of the myth of god? Where can you find a book about the history of the big bang hypothesis and what makes
it so popular, and what is also basically wrong with the idea? These things are more and more available and more
and more people are looking and thinking outside the popular box. Someone once asked
me; "What difference does it make where the universe came from?" I realized that most people do not
see the interconnection between belief systems and environmental issues and problems. That is the most important thing.
What really does make a difference in all this, whether the Earth is flat or round, the universe from a point in no space/no
time or evolved from other realms of the cosmos yet unknown, and what difference does it make whether or not humans are from
a heavenly spiritual place or from the Earth? It makes all the difference in the world, and it is really a matter of
life and death. Think about it. I do every day (hence all these log entries, essays, notes,
and blurbs). See for yourself what difference it makes what you think and believe. __________________________________________
"Anyone (in 2007) still
considering The Big Bang Theory as a viable model of the structure of the universe must be asleep. Simply not having
another model as popular as that one was is a very pitiful reason to prop up it's decayed old foundations to keep
it around."
__________________________________________ “The history of Cosmology is a relentless retreat of the Earth as the center
of the universe.” from the PBS television program,
“The Universe: Beyond The Big Bang”, along with, to paraphrase from another part of the same program, “The Big Bang is widely accepted as true and those who do not go along with
this are generally considered crack pots.” The next step in this
retreating of The Earth as the center of The Universe is the realization that The Big Bang Theory, even in the latest of it’s
many different versions, is completely incorrect. The Earth is not the center of the Universe by so called “Fingers
of God” redshift interpretation, microwave “evidence”, expanding space, etc., all pointing to our planet
as the center of the cosmos, according to my personal “crack pot” thinking that is. It is far beyond time
to wake up and see beyond this pervasive myth to open up the field of Cosmology to new and brighter ideas, and, it is high
time civilization moved intellectually out of the Roman empire era of Zeus and Earth centered cosmology and into a new age
of greater intelligence and creativity. In my view, one of the first
things children should be taught in school is that ideas, theories, and thinking as new and world changing as that of Newton
and Einstein is available to their generation. Knowledge in all areas of human endeavor, especially the field of Physics
and Cosmology, is wide open for new work, improvement, and even revolutionary transformation by future scientists and thinkers.
These jobs are open. It is not only shameful to imply that
The Universe is a nearly known thing, it is actually a terrible injustice to future thinkers and would-be-cosmologists to
teach that something as ludicrous as The Big Bang Genesis Seed Myth is actually good science at all. The damage done
and the decades of set backs are also compounded by the fact, again in my “crack pot” opinion of course, is that
this long outdated theory also contributes to beliefs that all of humanity popped into existence in this mystical magical
way as well, and that we are not actually from Earth in the first place but rather this other dimension in which cosmic atoms
can produce billions of galaxies in a single bang. What new ideas might
have hatched had people of the past generations been encouraged to think in new directions and follow new lines of research
and exploration instead of being fed this magic seed myth/idea? Humanity will never know, and the damage done will never
be repaired in terms of the effects upon the environment, species extinctions, and general global catastrophe brought about
by people not believing we are even from this place called Earth in the first place.
Why do people believe so strongly in The Big Bang? What else is there? What difference does it make where the
Universe came from? These and other questions are central to many of the essays and articles of cosmology awakening.

_____________________________ Mystery solved?
(2007) "Was the universe (all of space and time and reality) created
in one big event beginning in a point about as big around as the Solar System umpteen billion years ago? Or, is
it a mystery to be solved piece by piece in a manner not unlike archeology with painstaking steps beginning with what
we can work with locally and working out? Are astronomers really seeing all the way to the edge of reality and all there
is, or just as far as can be seen for now? And, could the cosmos actually be a messy complex evolving system with
relationships to that which cannot be seen or known as yet, with big clues right here, perhaps even in the center
of the Earth and Sun and Milky Way that have gone unexplored or considered because of current beliefs? Which seems more
natural and related to the rest of the evolving systems around us, and which seems like magical creation?
One reason fields in science other than cosmology, such as archeology, did not go in that direction is that the
evidence literally under foot was too great to dismiss. In the case of rocks and bones it is not so easy to say that
everything began in a mystical burst of creation. With space it is another matter. The world
will never know what advances might have been made in Cosmology had it taken another course since the 20's. Partly
because other ideas, such as "tired light", did not offer a theory of model explaining what was seen, but only a
correct observation that objects were older the farther away they were, the desire for an instant concrete model won out.
This has only served to stagnate science over roughly 80 years and millions of hours of work and dollars, plus causing
the loss of countless minds that might have joined in the field if it did not seem deceptively nearly complete as many Big
Bang Theory Cosmologists now believe. Way back in that early starting point of modern Cosmology, something
happened that sent this field along the wrong path. The big question now is, will it stay that way for another 80 years?
Or, will people wake up and see that there is something else going on other than this hypnotizing magic cosmic genesis seed
idea. Today, there is no sign
of change, but tomorrow is another day." _____________________________________________
The fact that a twelve year old C+ average Eighth Grade student in
a little country town in 1964 could see correctly that The Big Bang Theory (the original exploding fire ball
one) was not a good idea is not testimony to my genius or amazing powers of intuition. It was evidence that the
scientific community really required greater creativity and imagination in the science and philosophy of Cosmology.
Today, in 2007, the newest versions of this old theory still come no closer to explaining what is seen in the universe (as
my personal assertion with all the same authority I had as a grammar school student, plus maybe a little bit more :-). Even
the boy I was back in 1964 would see this quite clearly.
Non-sequitur?... Part of the point of this site is to make the connection between those beliefs (some people really
did/do "believe in", or accept as true, the primordial atom big bang fire ball cosmology and
that which has followed) and other belief systems and accepted "truths", especially those connected with
our behavior on the planet causing worldwide crisis. It may not seem like a natural connection to make, at first. ___________________________________
"If the true history of The Big Bang Theory was more
clearly known by the general public, then some people, especially young people just deciding what to be when they grow up,
could see what a mess it is and how much room there is in the field of cosmology for bright new minds and fresh new thinking.
As it is in common household knowledge, it appears to many that there is nothing but a little tweaking left to do and that
the field is just about done working on the nature of the universe. Nothing could be farther from the truth."

An example
of a defunct vintage Big Bang Theory definition; this one from "Astronomy" by Roger B. Culver, Barnes
& Nobel Outline Series, 1979, for comparision to modern versions by the same name:
"The
Big Bang Theory. The Big Bang theory was first proposed in the 1920's by the Belgian cosmologist
Abbe Lemaitre. According to this theory, the universe began as a "primeval atom," a chunk of matter roughly
the size of the solar system that exploded about 15 billion years ago into an enormous fireball with a temperature of trillions
of degrees. From this initial "big bang," the material in the universe was hurled in all directions, and continues
to this day to expand. As the mean temperature of the fireball decreased, the expanding material subsequently cooled
and contracted into the galaxies. The Big Bang theory implies that the universe had a definite beginning and therefore
has a definite lifetime."
----------------------------in the opinion of this artist: Current Standard
Theory of Expansion and Inflation, or "standard model", etc., is not the above theory and there is no actual physical
model that can be drawn or made from what is envisioned in popular science today, as there was in the old original defunct
theory of the exploding ball in space. This may account for the continued popularity of "The Big Bang Theory" name
as people can picture it as a real physical event. Elements relating to the expansion of reality in total (all time,
space, matter, etc.) do not allow for the negative space required in order to draw a picture or make a physical model or explain
it in physical terms. There is no relative "non-it" where a border can be made or relative size and shape
figured, etc., in an illustration or in a physical model. While I can imagine or envision all of everything expanding
from a central place, etc., in my imagination somewhat, it cannot be visually pictured without adding some new dimension or
supernatural realm of non-existence, etc., and this is quite a mystical, metaphysical, magic thing. This is The
"NEW" Big Bang Theory in a nutshell. And it is not the Big Bang of my Father's day, and there is no exciting
illustration for the cover of TIME magazine. It is a work in progress with problems with the beginning, middle, and
end of it. But, I'm told it's the best idea there is. And that is what is the saddest thing about it.
I think if there was a bold new better idea it would be boldly announced under a brand new title with models, illustrations,
and something that could fit on the front of a tee shirt perhaps. As there is not, the old borrowed familiar name persists
like an umbrella hiding the failure of modern cosmology. It is like a Big Bang franchise enterprise. That is the challenge
of future cosmologists, to move beyond the 1920's title and bring fresh new possibilities to the field, and new theories
with new names...in my opinion of course. Tally Ho!

Looking
a round... "What we see around us has been
generally misconstrued by Western science. In the view of ever older light from the farthest reaches of modern
instrumentation, there is one thing that can be truly known...this is not all that there is and the larger picture does not
conform to a big bang idea. It seems outrageous to say that the majority of modern cosmologists are completely wrong
but it happens to be true as it has been in every period in history when there has been one dominant belief system.
Looking back at the crude technology of the 1920's, when Hubble invented the big bang idea, it seems just
as outrageous to see how many people are still, in 2007, clinging to his ideas that the universe if flying apart at impossible
speeds faster and faster the farther things are. It is a tragic comedy to me, but then I am not part
of the popular culture or mainstream scientific community and therefore free to be critical and dare to disbelieve.
I am free to see outside this bizarre box. Outside this box one can see that the cosmology of a civilization defines
who those people are. And, our ideas and cosmology directly relate to our actions in the world and what is taking place
and changing the planet every day. What we think matters and what we do is critical." _______________________________
Question: When
will red shifts and faint microwaves in every direction tell the whole story of billions of galaxies and all of reality in
all of space and time? Answer: When humans cease to ask questions and close their eyes choosing to live with blind
belief systems instead of curiosity and creativity, or when the human brains becomes so poisoned with lead and other
toxins that people are no smarter than the great apes.
Sometimes what is needed is better and brighter questions,
not 80 more years of banging away at the same old failed idea just because it supports popular religion and innate
needs for final simple answers. There are other lines of research being virtually ignored, and other areas
of new possibilities going unexplored all because of the stubborn and irrational belief that the big bang must be the whole
and complete story of how the universe began. It is so ironic that so much work is going on to force this old idea into
reality that the very aim, supposedly, of the field is left off in left field unfunded and ignored...the aim of
forwarding cosmology and making real progress. Either people are purposely sabotaging science,
or there is a mass hypnosis phenomenon going on, or there is just some other strange facet of human nature
playing itself out, or some other combination of ingredients yet to be seen. In any case, the field has been kidnapped
by the one approved theory of the universe and only questions and inquiry related to it.
What is so wrong
with new questions? ____________________________________________
One great new question
is worth one thousand dubious answers. ____________________________________________________
Objection Overruled...
Over the years beginning
in 1964, I've been told that my objection to The Big Bang Theory was naive, misinformed, due to my lack of education,
or just plain dumb, etc. My favorite comment of all came during a lecture when I asked a simple question about other
interpretations of red shifting of distant objects, and the professor replied that I was "...lucky to live in
a time when you are free to question these things." I just sat down among the shocked audience of dropped jaws,
including my best friend, and listened to the rest of this talk by a physics Ph.D. in a "Philosophy, Cosmology, and Consciousness"
Degree Program in a Department of Religion. Whether he was referring to the Spanish Inquisition or something else I
do not know or care, it was clear the response was basically a shut up and sit down command. That there is a conncection
between The Big Bang Theory and Biblical Genesis in some social circles and educational programs in the world is
clear. How widespread this is and whether or not science can manage to evolve out of this influence remains to be seen.
I however am ever hopeful for real and lasting positive change in the future of the science of Cosmology. ____________________________________________________ Red means go... (2007) just rambling here...
Examine for yourself any college text book on general cosmology
and you'll see the definition, basis, and some of the history of the Big Bang Theory and the problems with it.
In the 20's when the red shifting of distant light was first related to velocity based upon terrestrial Doppler Shift
effects, it was assumed that everything around Earth was moving away at tremendous speeds and therefore must have at one time
been located at one central point. Though there is no observational evidence anywhere in local space to suggest that
this is the case, and although there is no basis in experiment or logic for red shifts in light traveling millions of light
years means that the object itself is moving faster (there are no experiments or tests for effects on such old light) and
even a smooth and even overall expansion would require some kind of central point and things farther away would also have
to be relatively larger and larger as they expand unless it is only an expansion of space alone which would not move anything
with it as it has no mass or power to move anything (just making stuff up as I go along here as is done in the field of cosmology
to make that point). If this effect is the same in every direction from the observational point of view then it
is logical that it is related to the observers position, as in images being older the farther away they are from the observer.
Light forming images of something across the room are images of something as they are now as light travels so fast, etc.,
and an image of the nearest star is an image of that star some time ago when that light image was emitted, and light
from a distant galaxy is an image of that galaxy long ago, etc., etc. If I was a big bright object 54 lightyears away,
the picture of me arriving on Earth would be one of me as a baby...an old picture. In the Red Shift as viewed in The
NEW Big Bang Theory, very ancient images are to have the same qualities as local images and therefore the object/projector
of the image, must be moving away incredibly fast. And, although there is no evidence that local microwaves detected
have any relationship whatsoever to an astronomically massive explosion or expanding cosmic atom, etc., the popularity of
the theory persists. In fact, just the other evening there was a program on television and two gentlemen where explaining
how the entire universe is expanding so quickly that eventually everything will be ripped apart. As they spoke there
were computer graphic images of the planets burning and bursting to pieces and they blew up a balloon with ink marks on it
to show how expansion works. This is so ridiculous and bizarre, especially to be on television. So many respectable
and intelligent people seem to believe in such strange things including the element of non-reality non-space time for the
bang to be expanding into, etc., as in the edge of this balloon model which represents what? Another dimension
of untimespace? The logical fact is that the farther away an object is in space the older the light
and image is when it reaches Earth (and of course it is the light that is being observed, not the object). It
is also logical, if one imagines that space was once more crowded and dusty, that some of this light has traveled through
such dust and material on it's way here and through a very crowded universe. It is amazing that these images reach
us at all in fact and it is a wonder that there are not only blurry crooked indistinct blobs the farther away one points instrumentation
and computer technology today, but this is the age of quickly advancing technology and even the slightest bit of light can
be imaged and clarified and colorized and sharpened into a lovely new galaxy to catalog. And more new work is coming.
Now if there can be some new thinking and ideas to go with it, that would be good. ________________________________________
A rough history of Cosmology
Throughout recorded
history there are concepts and ideas of the universe diverse and creative, imaginative and complex, and bizarre and beautiful.
Some of the most interesting are those that seem to show knowledge thousands of years ago of the round Earth spinning and
the movements of the solar system and other things ahead of their time. One of my favorite is from ancient Africa speaking
of a fertile Earth Mother fertilized by the male lightning energy creating life. Of all the myriad ideas, models, and
views, the most bizarre of all, and the most outside reason and logic, is that of a universe once all crushed into an atom
in the impossible (no space, no time, no matter) suddenly exploding forth beginning the universe. This is such
a strange idea it is difficult to believe that it is modern, not to mention popular, and not some idea from thousands of years
ago. |

Science footnotes: -
That The Current Big Bang Theory is not a fact but a work
in progress is not in dispute, except by a faction of fanatics claiming that the winning home run ball is in the air and it’s
a done deal, and by a few folks in departments of religion teaching it as THE Story of The Universe for everyone in the world
to accept. - That the Red Shift element of The Current Big Bang Theory is also pending proof is also not in dispute,
with the same exceptions as above along with some in science who accept it as working fact. Other interesting explanations
are in the works and available on the Internet (I just found two in a few seconds, something called H2 and one called ZPE),
and observations are being analyzed regarding distant galaxies apparently in the same place but with distinctly different
red shifts, etc., and I assert that this foundational element for The Big Bang Theories will be eliminated in time, as my
own personal opinion. - That the science community has conspired against non-Big Bang related research and exploration in
a manner somewhat like the bias toward the internal combustion engine in the automotive community is complete fiction, for
now. In the future when all the data is available and the funding patterns and hiring parameters are more clear, I assert
that the story will reveal that there has indeed been a heavy slant in funding, observatory time allotment, university hiring,
etc., toward Big Bang / Genesis related theoretical lines of work with little or nothing going toward disproof or furthering
alternative lines of explanation. - That I am not a scientist is also not in dispute and I clearly identify myself as an artist on page
one and elsewhere here in my site. This is kept a personal venue and there are no blogs or links here partly because
(though the great majority of my feedback is positive) there have been a few folks who have written elsewhere in anger using
name calling and insisting that I do not have a right to my opinions, etc., and I do not wish to pass along this sort of thing
to other sites. Simply by key-wording in things like “no big bang” or new red shift theory, etc., there
are many many sites from all over the world to look at.
